the constipated granny

a 70 year old woman was suffering from constipation and went to consult a doctor.

"what's the problem with you?" the doctor asked.

"i'm feeling sick," she said. "i haven't had my bowels cleared for a few days."

"have you tried anything?" asked the doctor.

"yes", she replied. " i sit in the toilet for a half hour in the morning and again in the night.

" that's not what i meant," the doctor said. " i mean do you take anything?"

"yes" she answered, "i take a book".
