Homemade noodles

Homemade noodles, these are really easy to make. Plus it's free from all noodle preservative. So, you can guarantee that it taste damn good. My mom has been making homemade noodles as long as I can remember, even back then when we were all still little. Now, the kids love to help granny make the noodles. Ever chances they get, they'll want to help, but of course granny didn't need all that many pair of helping hands. In fact, my mom regards them as trouble maker.

2008 Great Americal Seafood Winning Recipe

Do you realized that when a bunch of people get together or when there's an occasion to celebrate, they are sure to celebrate it with food? It's indeed very true that good food bond people together. For many, good food involves fresh and great tasting seafood, sort of like those you get straight out from the sea. But unless you're a fisherman, nothing really comes out straight from the sea, so the best option is to buy your local seafood, not those packed frozen seafood shipped to you half way around the globe. If you're a seafood lover, you sure know the freshest seafood is what you can get domestically.

Check out this 2008 Great American Seafood Cook-off Winning Recipe by
Chef John Currence. This local dish from Missisipi- Redfish Courtboullion with Seafood Dirty Rice might look very simple to cook, but it is prepared with over 20 ingredients!

Like I said, this is the award winning recipe, you bet it is super delicious, I wish I got the time to prepare this scrumptious meal for my family. With food like this, you really need to put in effort in preparing it and also in cooking it, else it might not turn out delicious.

I personally love this Redfish Courtboullion with Seafood Dirty Rice, but perhaps prawn lovers like you would prefer the Texas Gulf Shrimp by Chef Mark Holley. You might want to check out great five finalist of the Great American Great seafood cook off to vote for your favorite recipe. You can even stand a chance to win a trip to New Orleans. All you got to do is go to www.GreatAmericanSeafoodCookOff.com and cast your vote, it's that simple!

I refund Meiji Pucca

Meiji Pucca Choc Pretzel

No joke. We went shopping for groceries today. My little boy did a little shopping for himself, he took yakults, 6 cups of yogurts, 2 trays of tou foo ( one of his favourite food), 2 boxes of Nestle Mat Kool Icy Grape and Superblaster, and also a packet of Meiji Pucca Chocolate. I didn't bother to look through what he chucked in the shopping trolley until much later at the checkout. For crying out loud, this Meiji Pucca is 5 ringgit! Not that I cannot afford buying it, I think it's a rip off, given that Meiji Hello Panda which is equally nice is only selling about 2.20-2.90 ringgit max.

Meiji Hello Panda (vanilla flavour being my favourite)

I refund it. Who cares, it's my consumer's rights. I like I buy, if I'm not happy with my purchase, I refund no matter what the amount.

Tun LLS CNY open house

This must be the biggest serving of yee sang I've seen or eaten. It was at least one metre and a half long and wide. The occasion was at the Tun LLS Chinese New Year open house. Our entire family went there, the kids get red packet and we adults just eat and eat.

It was a very enjoyable family gathering and everything was free.
What cheapskate? It's open house!

Fabulous doughnuts here

In this photo, you're suppose to see one glacier, two Almond flakes and two Oreos doughnuts. No, you can't see it right. My little monster thought he's so clever he decided to 'help' mommy to cut the doughtnuts for sharing. I left him at the table to attend to the newspaper guy and two minutes later, a box of yucky doughnuts came to greet me.

He was so happy he said, " mommy, see i so clever. i help mommy cut cut the doughnuts". Thank you darling but please...no next time alright.

trick and trade wine with black currant

my sister came back from Melbourne with two bottles of red wine. in fact, every time my brother or sister come back from Australia, they'll sure purchase either chardonnay or merlot. my family only drinks wine on occasion, not the kind of everyday wine person. except for me, i'm not a liqour, wine or beer person. i can never gulp down a glass of white wine without the crazy after effect. it will make my body itches so badly, i once put on a pair of winter gloves to stop myself from obsessive scratching. having experience lots of ugly wine aftermath, i'll avoid drinking it at all cost.

the one occasion worth mentioning is during the chinese new year, where the ladies will try to bring my uncle down by challenging him drink red wine, but the ladies always trick my uncle by drinking blackcurrant juice themselves. every year, the ladies will sure win. how not to, when one team is on wine and the other team is drinking only blackcurrant juice. can't wait to celebrate this chinese new year, it's just 2 weeks away.

this one is enormous

take a good look at this. do you know what it is? no, it's not pumpkin, but it does look like one isn't it. i bought this at the supermarket near my home, this is the biggest tomato i've seen in my life. if i were to slice it up, maybe i could serve it as one tomato dish for the entire family.
see, this is a normal sized tomato.

see the difference?
