I love online shopping

As a blogger, I get the privilige of making money online by writing honest opinion or reviews. Having said that, now you know that I do spend a lot of time going online, be it for blogging or web browsing. One of my favorite thing to do is online shopping, though most of the time I browse for things that I cannot afford to buy, just window shopping. Seriously, what's the fun of looking at things I cannot afford, you might think? To me, it's fun!

Anyway, I do have my preference when it comes to buying online. I do not buy my own clothes online just in case it doesn't fit. If you know me, you'll know that I do not have a flattering size 0 body. Very often, it's not easy to shop for my clothes. But for as kids clothings and other stuffs, I do surf the web as there are many good and cheap buy online. So far, I've bought herbs, my medela breast pump, kids clothes, herbs online, from overseas and local sellers and I might just add that it's fast and effective shopping. Fast, is for the fact that overseas shopping is right at my fingertip! And effective in the sense that I can shop from the comfort of my home.

I'm just wondering if anyone has ever thought of buying silver coins online? Silver coins is no doubt one of the most after sought items afterall.

Life as a mother

One of the most significant changes about being a mother to a newborn baby is the lack of sleep. Or rather, limited uninterrupted sleep. Gone were the days where I can sleep straight for a good 6 hours or without anyone waking me up for milk. But I guess that's normal. My baby girl is probably the most easy going baby ever, she only wakes up one time for milk in the middle of the night. That really saves me lots of time and effort is trying to wake up to feed her milk.

As I look at my newborn baby, I can't help but think how long is it going to take to raise her till she's independent enough to do things on her own. At least, until she starts schooling, that time I'll find myself with different worries. Worrying if she's growing well or if she'll do well in school etc. Life as a mother is never easy eh. How I wish to get some free Disney World Tickets so I could bring the kids to Disney World for a day of great fun without a worry in the world. ::Wishful thinking::

Increasing breast milk suppy

i really don't know what else works. I tried every remedy, from the papaya with pig's tail soup to the milkmaid tea, but none of the above seems to work magic on me, or may I say on my boobs. Seriously, this time throughout this confinement period, I never once experience breast engorgement. Not even once!

And as a last straw, I finally bought fenugreek supplement. Keeping my fingers crossed this time, this is going to boost my breast milk production.

Another week to go!

If you haven't know, we Chinese are a bunch of very particular people, especially when it comes to the tradition of confinement. That is, a lot of do and don't after giving birth to a baby. First, we must be confined to the four walls of our home, we cannot get out of the house. Then there's this other thing about not taking a shower. Old wives tales are said used to practise the habit of not showering for a whole month, that's like enduring 30 days of sweaty fat pig. How possible is that? I cannot see myself doing that honestly. I secretly showered on the third day and begged my mom to let me wash my hair on the 5th day of giving birth. I really have no idea why the Chinese practise these believes, but heck, my mom a.k.a my confinement lady makes it sounds all like "you'll live to regret it if you don't obey".

Another week to go till I'm allowed to do whatever I want. One thing for sure, in a weeks time, I'll sure tuck my little baby in her stroller, drag my 4 year old son with me to go shopping! I miss going to the mall so badly. And maybe over the weekend, we might even ask hubby to drive us for a getaway, I'll be glad to go anywhere to get out of the house. It'll be superbly wonderful if hubs were to surprise me with a riviera maya vacations. ::Hint hint::

Tiny little feet

Baby girl has the tiniest and cutest feet I've ever seen. Perhaps it's because amongst all the babies born in our family, she's the feminine one and also quite a tiny baby at birth. A couple of days after she's born, her skin started peeling off, even those at the sole of her feet, revealing a much delicate and smooth new skin.

She now still sleeps in that curled up position like when she was in the womb. It's totally cute to see her sleep in that kneeling down

position. Love it.

Introducing baby girl, Shermaine

Introducing baby girl, Shermaine.

Sorry I should have posted this much earlier, but haven't got the time to sit down to blog. It's hard to find time to even take a nap. Which is why everytime baby is asleep, I will try as much as possible to sleep too. But nevertheless, I'm really proud of my baby girl, she's such an easy going baby, no fuss at all. Thank God for that.

Keepsake for baby girl

I'm so excited, you know why? Since my gynae will be on leave from the 7-15th September, he's unable to perform the c-section on my scheduled date which is on the 9th of September. So, we rescheduled the operation earlier to the 4th which means there's only another week to go! Honestly, I've been feeling quite heavy lately, and feeling like a log. My movement are restricted, so I'm trying to slow down and minimize my activities. Well, my gynae told me that my amniotic fluid level is a little high above normal range, so that kind of explained the heaviness I'm experiencing right now. So, his advice will be an earlier c-section which I totally agreed on. Given that my thighs, they itches so badly, I'm hoping it'll go away right after the baby is born. Can't take the itchiness anymore.

I'm not the only one excited about the arrival of this new baby girl, hubby, Shern and the rest of my family are really looking forward to this day too. I am thinking maybe I should get both Shern and the baby a gift each, and when the baby is born, I'll tell my son that his baby sister has a i-love-you-brother gift for him and vice versa. Maybe that way, he won't feel threaten anyway with a newborn around. You know how much attention a newborn needs, we didn't want him to feel abondoned in any way.

Baby's grandfather even has a special gift ready for his first grand daughter in the family. I can imagine how much joy this baby will bring into this family. Maybe I should also get a gift for my baby girl. Perhaps a gold bracelet or maybe a rare gold coins for keepsake. What do you think? I personally prefers to buy gold as it is a good investment and the value of good can only increase over time.Especially if you were to buy Monaco Rare Coin, it helps you locate the best, highest-quality rare coins available at best prices, thereby maximizing your rare coin investment dollars. It's sure worth every dollar investing in gold, right?

I've got my hands full!

I've been pretty occupied with my sick child, my new blogshop- Bucketload and oh, did I tell you we'll be moving house soon? You can imagine how many boxes of stuffs I need to pack, didn't know we have so many things accumulated over the years until now! I figured we'll be chucking out lots and lotsa stuffs this time. Well, the rule of decluttering, stuffs you never used in over a year, out they go. Easier said then done. What if one day I might need it, and it's not available anymore? Isn't is a waste of money to buy it again? Tricky isn't it?

Anyway, baby girl will be due is about 3 weeks, unless baby decided to come out earlier. What hard work can I possibly do with a tummy this big? I'm trying not to overwork myself, not wanting to risk going into pre-term labour, or stressing myself out. Better take it easy for now.

Never too old to learn

Without a computer, you're basically nowhere. And worse still, without Internet connection, you're just like a man stuck on an island, alone and miserable. I cannot imagine how my life will be without Internet. I'm online most of the time, blogging or just surfing the web for all kinds of reasons.

My mom, after seeing that we, her children are all so computer literate, she is now so tempted to get her hands on a laptop and she is very eager to learn how to use the computer so that she can go online too. Really, teaching her about computer will take a very long time as she's computer illiterate. But I'm sure with her determination, she will be an expert in no time. Maybe when she learnt how to use a computer, she might even want to get an online degree from Capella University.

Her interest has always been in the field of culinary. I'm sure Capella University will have a suitable graduate degree program for her since Capella is specially catered to providing online graduate school for working adults. Who know, my mom might one day be the world famous chef. Don't be surprise then.

Kids are supposed to sleep early, aren't they?

Tonight, I had some trouble putting Shern to bed. That's always the case if he took a very long nap in the afternoon till late evening. By the time he really dozed off, it's almost midnight already. In cases like that, I'll have trouble waking him up for school tomorrow. He'll whine and whine when it's time to get up, and very often I got to ask the maid to pull him straight out of bed into the toilet to brush his teeth and wash his face. At 33 weeks pregnant, I am not in a good shape to even carry him anymore.

Just hope that since tomorrow is a Friday, he'll at least be a little cheerful when I wake him up for school tomorrow. Let's see how it goes.

Things has been slow

Since the launch of my blogshop, response has been slow, reason being there's not enough publicity on my blogshop. Well, I think I didn't work hard enough to promote my blogshop. The one thing I learned along the way is, to generate traffic to your blog, you need to frequent other people's blog, leave comment or leave them a message in their shoutout box, only then traffic will be redirected to your blog when visitors click on your link. Sounds easy peasy but it requires loads of work.

Nevertheless, this is only the start, I'm confident that my blogshop will soon be getting more traffic. I still have a few items I need to post up for sale. But I need to do some editing to the photos beforehand. I love a clean cut photos on the things I sell. Makes it all look more professional isn't it?

Time to trade stock option maybe

It's been two days since I launched Bucketload, and I got a few enquiries on some of the items especially on the kid's sleepwear but up to date, there's no confirmation on orders. That's a little dissappointing. But nevermind, it's only been what 48 hours since opening, and there's still plenty of time for the blogshop to gain exposure from the online market.

But waiting for orders to come in is not so fun. Meanwhile, maybe I should get my hands on the stock options trading, make some money trading stock, so that I will earn more money to stock up more merchandise for my blogshop. What do you say? Hubby is really tempted to trade stock too, as a few of his friends are doing so well and earning big bucks by just clicking on the Internet from the comfort of their home. Maybe it's time we do the same.I'm sure that with PowerOptions®, we will only gain and not lose money. It's the only internet-based data provider that gives investors SmartSearchXL®, a patented decision support technology that identifies the highest return option trades, so it cannot be wrong!

Sourcing merchandise for Bucketload

I've been busy trying to source more merchandise for my online shop. And I must say I'm quite excited I found a few wholesale that offers very nice and affordable products. Given that my blogshop is so new, I'm only thinking of selling babies and kids wear for the time being. Product brand that I'm interested in is BabyGap, Gap Kids, Guess, Carters, Mothercare and you know all other good quality brands.

Do you happen to know any supplier of such kids clothings? If you do, please drop me an email. May I thank you in advance.

Very cute Gap Sleepwear for sale at Bucketload

Here are some of the pajamas I have on Bucketload. Aren't they simply cute? Looks even cuter when you put them on your little ones. I personally love to see my son wear these body hugging pajamas, because no matter how he rolls and turns around in his sleep, his pajamas stays in place, so no worries of him not putting on blanky or catch a cold.

Come check it out on my blogshop. Sizes and quantity are limited, so grab them before they're gone because when they're gone, they're gone! For good.

A much needed getaway..

Phew! I'm glad that I'm now in the last trimester of this pregnancy. If you have been following my blog, then you should know that I have some issues with my back and my butt. I have this condition called Pelvic Girdle Pain ever since I was about 9 weeks pregnant. Now I'm already in my 33rd week so you imagine how much pain I've endured over the past 7 months.

So, this thing called Pelvic Girdle Pain is caused by
the softening, along with postural changes, muscle weakness and differences in the movement occurring between the left and right pelvic joints can cause too much stress on the joints, ligaments and muscles of the pelvis. There's no cure for this pain and it can only worsen as the pregnancy progresses.

I'm so looking forward
to the birth of my little baby girl in early September, to be able to hold her in my arms. After a month long confinement period, I hope hubby and I will be able to spend some time with our kids alone, perhaps to bring them on a family vacation. Talking about vacation, we haven't had one for a very long time already. I'll definitely suggest Azul Beach Hotel at Riviera Maya. I've read tonnes of good review on them and how the place has family-friendly amenities, perfect for a family like us. If it's just the two of us, maybe we'll even consider going to Hidden Beach Resort. LOL.

Finally, I have my very own blogshop

I'm so glad, my blogshop is almost up and running. I'm just trying to upload as many merchandises as possible before I announce it open. Running a blogshop has been one of my dream, but because I procrastinate too much too often, I always have that dream kept aside at the back of my mind. Finally, I took a bold step, and made a some sacrifices ( sleepless nights) to make it work. I'm so glad I did this.

Really.

:)

A new template, a new look

If memory serves me right, it hasn't been long since I last change the template for this blog, but how can one resist such a nice looking template? Well, I wanted to use the revolution lifestyle blog template but I had problems modifying the layout element. So what I did was I uploaded the Revolution Church blog template, which is a black and grey theme template and changed the entire color theme to make it similar to the lifestyle template. It took me a couple hours to get it done but voila, how happy I am now, you have no idea. You should see the look on my face now! It's all worth it.

Too much money..

Lately, my son has this habit of saying this, "if we have too much money until we cannot finish, then we'll buy blah blah blah".Most of the time, by blah blah blah he meant things like a Lamborghini, a superbike or even a toy, things that we parents don't usually want to spend money on, a way of teaching our kids that like rare coins, money do not grow on trees. We parents got to work hard for it and we should not spend money unnecessarily.

So today, I asked him where are we going to get that much money, so much to a point we cannot finish spending it, his reply was a quick one. "I'll go to work together with daddy, then we'll earn a lot alot of money, then we save a lot of money to buy so many sports car.". Wow, mature thinking for a 3 years and 7 months old boy. Well, what can a father and his little son do to get that much of money I wonder? But never mind, as long as he knows he got to work for money, it's a good sign. But whatever that he wants to be, he also knows he got to study hard, then only he'll get to be what he wants to be. Be it a rally driver, a pilot, a policeman or even a car salesman, I guess all I can do is be a supportive mom. A supportive mom who will get a lot a lot of money from her darling son. LOL!

The must have: Mosquitoes Racket

One of the most useful tool in our house has got to be this one. We call it mosquito shock. Others might call it mossie racket, but because it sparks like fireworks every time you caught a mosquito. Pre mosquito-shock era, you have no idea how hard is it to kill a mosquito, 8 out of 10 times you missed a clap, and there you got pissed.

We have at least 3 shocks in the house at all times, and we make sure that it's always charged. And yes, it's rechargeable. They used to make this battery-operated ones, but those never last too long, and batteries can be very expensive too. These rechargeable ones are far better, and low in maintenance too. One racket cost only about 10 ringgit, but I'm sure it's way cheaper in China. But who cares, 10 ringgit is cheap enough, if it works well to get rid of mosquitoes.

A girl and a boy

I'm in my 27th weeks of pregnancy now, how time flies when you don't count the days. But as for my darling son, he is so impatient already, he has been asking me forever when his baby will be born. He said he waited so so long already, I should know that. Lately, he has been telling everyone that his baby sister will be born in 3 months time. I think he's more excited than we parents are. I know he'll be a very good big brother to his baby sister.

That reminds me, I still have lots of things I need to prepare for the birth of my baby girl. There are some hand-me-down baby items we can use, but still we need to buy lots of new baby clothes , baby accessories and baby gears. Especially now that I'm expecting a baby girl, the first baby girl in the family, I'm sure the baby girl will be spoil with dresses, nice princessy accessories and jewelry for girls. I even thought of buying a silver baby bracelet and necklace for my baby already. LOL.

Good thing about having a son and a daughter is that my son will get to inherit all his daddy's watches while our daughter gets to inherit all my jewelry, not that I have loads of it to give her. Nah. But it sure feels good and complete now that we have a son and a daughter. Just like my son said, only 3 months to go. I really need to get everything prepared before the birth of my baby girl.

Addition to our family

It's minutes past midnight, my son is sound asleep and here I am, enjoying the quietness and the peacefulness. Blogging without any distraction from the world. In a few months more, with the arrival of my baby girl, I'm sure I won't have the time to blog at midnight. Even if I can, I'm not sure whether I can stay up till midnight. I might have knocked out at 8 pm every night. Having a baby to take care of, I'm sure that'll take up almost all my time, 24/7. But nevertheless, I'm glad I'm having another baby soon. I'm sure my heart will have the capacity to accommodate and to love another little angel God has for me and my family. Can't wait for your arrival, darling baby girl.

Wedding planning

In less than 199 days, my beloved twin sister will be walking down the aisle with the love of her life. I'm so happy that she'll finally be getting married, having been together with her fiance for so many years. All wedding planning are under way, with her wedding gown being tailor made, her flower girl dresses being altered, the dinner banquet confirmed, everything is almost in place.

They are not planning on taking studio wedding photos because they have a far better plan in mind, that is to Bali for their pre-wedding shots. How romantic is that? Bali is a perfect place to capture memories, the architecture, the beach, the scenery, the people and weather, everything. What beats the fond memory of walking by the beach at sunset, or a romantic candle light dinner in a real Balinese place? No wonder so many people would rather spend a lot of money to get married elsewhere, the idea of the destination weddings is so very common nowadays.

But nevermind, for us married couples, there's always a chance to go honeymoon, even years after you got married, as long as the love is there, it'll always be as romantic I'm sure.

Shaklee Multi Purpose Herbal cream

Since birth, I've been using this cream on my then baby for mossie bites, dry skin and rashes but I heard this cream works magic on nappy rashes too. My son loves it from day one, for every time I apply it on him, his mosquito bites itchiness goes away. I guess so, because he'll immediately stop scratching. Since I'll be expecting baby no.2 in a few months time, I think it'll be better for me to buy a new tube of this cream ( cos the one I have right now did not have expiration date on it). I personally like the texture and the smell of the cream, it's so soothing. When applied, it has a minty and fresh feel to it. Best of all, it's not at all sticky.

Have you seen fishes like that?

When we were in Rumah Mode, the most famous shopping outlet in Bandung, these fishes captured our attention way before the clothes do. This pond is located just outside of Rumah Mode and from far we can see that the fishes jump out of water just to get food.

Seriously, I've never seen hungry fishes like that. They can even suck your finger if you let them, and yes they do not have any teeth. Normally fishes shy away from human, but boy these fishes love attention. And food obviously!

PGP in second pregnancy

23 weeks pregnant and feeling the pain on my lower back and buttock is now a normal thing I have to deal with. Even as early as week 10 into this pregnancy, I already had this pain. My OB-GYN said to me that it's normal for some pregnancy women to experience this pain. It's called Pelvic Girdle Pain, it is thought that this softening, along with postural changes, muscle weakness and differences in the movement occurring between the left and right pelvic joints can cause too much stress on the joints, ligaments and muscles of the pelvis. The worst thing is this pain will not go away as the pregnancy progress but in fact it will worsen. OH MY!

I also found out that the pain is usually made worse by lying on the back, turning over in bed, walking and standing from a sitting position. It is often worse at night and the degree of night pain is probably be related to how active one is during the day.

This is so true in my case, I got to refrain from lying down on my bed when I sleep, a sudden twist and turn will sent sharp pain through my legs and back. Sometimes when I walk too much, my butt hurts really badly. I'm hoping this pain will go away after pregnancy and everything will be back to normal. I'm sure walking with a rollator is not as fun as it looks. I need the freedom to run, jump and walk about.

Mini Gas Tanks

When you're in a foreign country, you'll sure get to experience some cultural shock, be it a good or a bad. And in Bandung, a place where the people still lacks a lot of necessities, or should I say, luxuries in life, sometimes life can be harsh on them.

In Malaysia, you'll only get to see huge gank tank for domestic use, but there in Indonesia, these gas tanks are the most common. We saw it everywhere we go. Every push cart vendor or food stall has one. It's so mini in size isn't it?

Pregnant women are clumsy eater

Even with my first pregnancy, I noticed that pregnant woman or is it just me, tends to be clumsy when it comes to eating. I stained my tops so very often, even more as the pregnancy progress. Logically thinking, a pregnant woman has a bulging tummy, and therefore they tend to sit further away from the table and having to bend forward to eat. Maybe so, we pregnant women really do get clumsy and dirty.

Well, that's my theory. What do you think? Anything you want to share on this?

We're back from Bandung

So here I am, poorer but a lot happier and satisfied, with a, a few dozen more new clothes to wear. Crazy isn't it? Just like bullion, one can never spend too much on clothes and accessories. Well, the fact is bullion gives outstanding investment return, given the current economic situation and the soaring price of bullion, no doubt bullion is a far better investment. Shopping gives temporary satisfaction but does no good to your bank account, I should know better before I indulged in the shopping therapy. Be wiser next time, buy gold instead.

This time around, I didn't really buy all that many clothes for myself, a pregnant woman don't need so many extras to wear, after all a pregnancy only last 9 months, and mine at 23 weeks, I only have 120 days to go. Yippie.

I bought so many new baby girl clothes, cannot resist not buying them as those little dresses, little pants and baby rompers are just too cute, and cheap too. I also got many new tees and pants for Shern and Marcus, and surprisingly, this time around Shern's clothes size is more or less about Marcus size. Shern is 3.6 years old and Marcus is almost 7 years old but I can fit both of them in either a size 6/7.

Shern's daddy didn't tag along, this trip is all about shopping and all of us sisters leave our husband back home, who need them to stress us up when we're shopping, keep them at home, this way everyone is happy. LOL.

Super cute hairclip for babies

Oh, ain't these cute? Or super cute maybe? I came across these baby clips on the Internet, on a handmade stuffs website. Clips
are normally sold in a pack of 3, or per clip and not pet set. I mean won't it be better if it comes in a pair? Then I'm sure it'll look super cute to clip it on babies with two ponytails. Well, maybe that's the sales gimmick. It comes in a set on 3 different clips, so if you want it in pair, then you got to purchase 2 sets of it. Ain't these people clevever in making money? I think so!

I'm loving grey grey grey..

Suddenly, just like that, I'm a big fan of grey! Oh, see how gorgeous these rooms are. The color grey and white is just so soothing to the eyes. Looking at it, I'm starting to hate my green walls. I don't know whether this is the pregnancy talking, what people call it nesting, but I sure feel like I could do with some nice changes around the house to make way for the baby.

You know, repaint the walls (at least I don't go for pink which I'm sure the hubs would forbid), do with some nice new furnitures around the house or simply chucking out old stuffs. But I'm sure I'm going to include a lot of grey tones in my upcoming home projects. Watch out!

April 20, 2009

Bandung, here we come again!

Remember our last trip to Bandung somewhere in September last year? We bought a whole lot of clothes at the Bandung factory outlets, and we must have visited at least 30 outlets if not more. Bandung is indeed a shopping paradise for shopaholic who couldn't afford to go anywhere near Paris or Milan, people just like me. LOL.

When I told my mom that I've confirmed all our tickets, I can see the excitement in her face. Though she was there the last time we went, she was stuck in the hotel room 2 out of 4 days we were there. She had a serious food poisoning and was almost admitted into the hospital. The medication given to her by the hospital doesn't work on her, and we sisters got to search high and low for other diarhea medication for her from the pharmacy.

We just can't wait to be there in Bandung again, but both mom and I agree that we will be extra caution this time with the food we eat and the water we drink. We must drink only bottled mineral water and no others. Also, we must remember to bring along our own medical supplies for emergency, just in case one of us fall sick. Having been there once, this time around, we're sure a lot smarter. LOL.

Baby at week 13

Every time I'm about the step in to the ob-gyn consultation room, I can't help but feel excited because I know I'm about the see my unborn baby through the scan. Just the black and white image showing a baby's heartbeat makes me want to cry. It is really that exciting. Here's a scan of my baby at 13 weeks, from a small pea sized baby just 4 weeks ago, my baby has grown human-like already. It gives me a warm feeling just knowing baby is developing well inside me. Thank God for that.

All things pretty

One thing about me is that I'm a big time procrastinator. I always have this big ideas of how I want to run an online store selling women's accessories, designer costume jewelry, clothings or all things pretty. But there's always this tiny voice inside me that keeps telling me that I might not succeed doing it. There's this question of what if it's not good enough, what if nobody likes my stuff and a thousand others what if. As a matter of fact, I registed a domain way back in 2007 hoping that someday I'll have the courage to run an online store but too sad that didn't happened. Why? Because I just don't know where to start. Poor me.

My cousin sister runs an online boutique and I must say that she's doing very well. I'm sure she hesistated too in the beginning, but after seeing that she has achieved significant good results and good customers feedback, she must sure feel good about herself now. Maybe it's time for me to stop procrastinating too, and really put my mind to it. You go girl!

New iPod Shuffle

Oh, what a tiny piece of mp3 player that is. The new ipod shuffle, the first music player that talks to you. Did I just say talks? Yes, indeed. VoiceOver is the remarkable new feature that gives iPod shuffle a voice. It tells you what song is playing and who's performing it. It can even tell you the names of your playlists. How cool is that.

Seeing is believing. The new iPod shuffle is jaw-droppingly small. Yet there's room for so much more. With 4GB of storage, it now holds up to 1,000 songs and lets you enjoy multiple playlists, too. I really don't mind getting this as a gift.
Now, you can get your ipod shuffle engrave for free at Apple online store. Isn't this just the perfect gift for any occasion.

Dream wedding

It's almost over. The fatigue I experienced since Week 5 of my pregnancy is almost over. I don't feel as tired anymore. See, I can stay up till midnight, something which I wasn't able to do for the past 3 months. My body just felt so weak and it does trick to my mind as well. Just like how lack of sleep can makes me feel like I can float in the air, drifting along with the wind or something like that. Seriously.

I was watching Discovery Home and Health on cable TV just now, and didn't even realised that it's already was past my bed time. You know, I love watching the wedding planner because that kind of gives me an idea how a real wedding is. Of course there are endless and endless things to prepare, things to do on the wedding day itself. It's really getting to a point where it's almost impossible to have a wedding without a wedding planner. Unless you're in for a chaotic wedding.

No wonder more and more people are opting for destination weddings in romantic places far away from home, like at the White-Sandy Beaches of Riviera Maya. All they need to do is to fly in their closest family members and every thing else is taken care of. Stress-free wedding is so becoming the next big thing.

I'm now seeing pink!

I really can't wait to find out the sex of the baby I'm carrying now. Well well, 13 weeks is way too early to tell, right now, my unborn baby is about72mm, so no way it's possible to find out if my baby is a girl or boy. Honestly, we're all praying for a baby girl. We've got 9 boys altogether between my siblings, and you know a girl would be nice if not smashing great. My sister sent me this place where you can find really cheap cute baby clothes. Oh, those little teeny tiny outfit are all so cute. Feels like just buying everything in store. I got to wait for at least another month to know if I'm carrying a boy or a girl. As for now, I just get to browse the online store, no buying baby stuff just yet.

That's 500 bucks gone

Just got home after a long day out. We went to the hospital for my 3rd check-up and I'm happy to say that baby is growing so well despite the fact that my belly is not quite showing. My gynae told me that I've gained some weight but hello..400g don't count right. I can lose that weight after a pee and a poo. Seriously. Never mind, so long that the weight gain is not too dramatic.
I jokingly asked my gynecologist if it's too early to tell the sex of the baby (deep down inside, I'm hoping it's not too early to tell!), he said it's still to early and furthermore, baby's legs are positioned very close together. Oh well, never mind.

Oh, one more thing, there's glucose in my urine, which basically explains that my sugar level is quite high. So my gynae advised that I do self-monitoring for my glucose for the next couple of weeks, just in case he needs to put me on some medication. I've got a loan of the glucose monitoring device from the hospital for 320 ringgit, and my visit to the gynae cost 83 ringgit. That's like a whopping 500 bucks spent in just half a day, which includes our meal of course. Oh, money! So hard to earn, so easy to spend it. I need more morgan dollars.

After that, we went shopping, bought 2 panties. You know how all my clothes are starting to shrink, or rather I'm getting bigger as day passes. No thanks to the Sushi and Udon we had at sakae sushi before heading home. I used to be able to go out the entire day and not feel tired at all, but man, I'm so sleepy now already. I need a rest.

Here's Baby Josh

This is my cute baby nephew Josh and his mommy at his fullmoon dinner last Saturday. Born at only 8 months old, he weighed only a mere 2 kg at birth but has grown so much since I last saw him at 3 days old. He was born via an emergency c-section because he was kind of under stress in his mommy's womb. He's sure a survivor, not having to stay in an incubator at all, not evenf for a day. Though tiny, Josh sure is a tough boy. He's such a cutie pie with very nice features. Oh, I'm falling for him. I love babies, and I really can't wait to hold my newborn this coming September.

Monex my BFF!

My aunt was just telling me the other day that for her daughter's wedding, she'll just give her a big ang pow (monetary gift) for her wedding, in which I reply, "you shouldn't". I know it's really not my say, a mom can give whatever to her daughter and of course I have no say. Instead I suggested that my aunt should buy gold accessories for her daughter, be it a gold chain, a bangle or even a pair of diamond studded earring. At least her daughter will have a valuable keepsake from her mother, a keepsake I'm sure she'll treasure many years down the road. Agree?

And guess what, just last week, my sister told me that gold price has increase up to 129 ringgit per gram. In just a mere 2 months, and that was like before the Chinese New Year, the price of gold is still somewhere around a hundred ringgit a gram. If only I knew gold price will increase so quickly, I'll spend my fortune buying gold instead of just cashing it in the bank earning a pitiful interest rate. Gold prices and Monex is now everyone's best friend.

Ya, so I said, If only! Too bad I didn't.

Bored as I am

I'm so looking forward to the weekend. No waking up early, chauffeuring my son to school, sleep in late, go shopping and go eat out. I'm so sick of staying at home, I'm stuck at home with no car, no bicycle, and with a motorbike which I have no license to ride. I so need to get out there to just to let my skin breathe, let my eyes roam and let my legs walk a mile in the mall. Can't wait for Friday!

Not just a glass of cold drink

One day, when I was at my sister's house, I asked for a glass of icy cold water, and she, surprised as she looks, said a pregnant woman should never take cold drinks. I was like "huh, seriously?" I find myself so loving ice water ever since I got pregnant. And to say that, I've been drinking more ice water for the past three months than perhaps the entire year combined. Well well, how true is it that pregnant woman is forbidden to drink cold water? I really don't know. Maybe this is just another Chinese old wives tale.

Anyway, just want to share this with you. Apparently, heart attack and cold water they're the worst enemy. Of course it is nice to have a cup of cold drink after a meal. However, the cold water will solidify the oily stuff that you have just consumed. It will slow down the digestion. Once this 'sludge' reacts with the acid, it will break down and be absorbed by the intestine faster than the solid food. It will line the intestine. Very soon, this will turn into fats and lead to cancer. It is best to drink hot soup or warm water after a meal. Just like what the Japanese and Chinese loves to do, drinking hot tea after mealtime. There goes my big glass of icy cold water.

Babies of 2009

You know, one good thing about having sisters is that you can share all stuff, clothes and every else girlie. More if you're going to have a baby, you get all the hand-me-down baby stuffs like baby clothes, baby cot, baby walker, stroller and such.

But the thing now is, my eldest sister has just given birth to a baby boy. My second sister is expecting a baby somewhere in October this year and I, on the other hand, will be expecting a baby too this coming September. With so many babies born in the same year, there's really not enough of hand-me-down this time around, or rather passing around of baby's stuff.

So when I know that one of the blogger mom is selling off her baby cot for 300 bucks, I quickly grab it. I think that's a very good deal because she also offered me a baby latex pillow, a latex mattress, 2 sets of cot bumper and a mosquito net. For my first baby, I didn't spend a single dollar on buying baby's bedding because then everything was given to me by my sisters. My sister is so considerate to even let me have her brand new jogging stroller. Am I lucky or what?
With the arrival of three newborn babies, this is sure an exciting year for our family.

Turkish Airline 737 crashed

Oh my, just saw this news on CNN. A Turkish airline Boeing 737 crashed in a field near the Schiphol Airport, Amsterdam at 4am local time. Miraculously, no casualties has been reports as of this hour. Apparently, the plane was carrying 135 passengers and 8 crew from the Istanbul airport when it crash landed. The plane split into 3 parts.

What I need now

Now that I'm expecting my second baby, I'm kind of worried that Shern will feel neglected in some ways or another when the second baby arrives. You know it will be especially hard on him, given that for the past three years, he has been our center of attention and he has US parents all to himself. I'm just hoping that he'll be ready to take on the role of a big brother when the right time comes, it's a big adjustment and we can't expect him too much from him as of now.

My sister advised me to buy him a new chest of drawers for him and place it in my sister's room. It might just be a new piece of furniture to him, but it is meant to make him feel grown up and independent, so that by the time baby no.2 arrives, he won't feel that mommy and daddy has neglected him anyhow when he sees us spend more time with the newborn. Make sense I guess.
Talking about furniture, I wish my room is bigger than what it is now, so big that I can place a few pieces of living room furniture in it. But no, I cannot fit in even an extra baby cot. Maybe we need to seriously consider renovation, maybe then only my dream of owning those exclusive furniture from Fairmount Designs will turn into reality. Oh how I wish!

::Yawn::

OH, didn't realised it's been such a long time since I last blog here. I've been pretty lazy lately, considering that being 11 weeks pregnant makes me sleepy all the time, meaning I spent at least half a day in bed, and the other half entertaining Shern. But I noticed for the past few days, I've been sleeping a little lesser than weeks before, maybe this fatigue thingy will be over very soon so that I can have more time to blog. LOL.

Hello there 2009!

Yeah-hoooooo 2009 is here. Every time the clock strikes 12 on a New Year, I can feel this excitement in me that this year will be better. Perhaps thats what everyone feels, or it is just me? I don't know. But one thing for sure, a new year means we're all getting a little older too, right? Hopefully all of us gets a little wiser and bolder.

At midnight, all of us walked out to the roadside to see the fireworks display. It was really a pretty sight, the fireworks are just amazing. But too bad, Shern being the scary cat, clinged on to me like a koala bear, refused to let go and peek the fireworks once in a while. At four years of age as of 2009, I thought he'll be a little bolder, but I guess we all have to wait.

As always, on the first day of new year, all shopping complexes will be packed to the max, so I doubt we'll be going anywhere near a mall tomorrow. I hate to go shopping when it's too crowded, like I'm claustrophobic or something. Nevermind the big sale is going on, the mega discount on the designer costume jewelry. I'm just not going shopping tomorrow. Period. Maybe we'll just bring the kids swimming, I'm sure they'll love it there much more than the shopping malls.

Happy New Year!
