My big fat family

Everyone who knows my family well will know that my family members are all NOT skinny. We're either huge/flabby/voluptous/bulky/fat/ or out of shape. I reckon I fall in the 'flabby and out of shape'. Elder sis loves to blame her 'bigger frame' on our long-gone grandpa. She always must emphasis that she has got grandpa's body when someone were to comment on her big frame. I don't know who else to blame, because right after I gave birth to my baby boy to this moment I'm typing this, there's no one second that I'm any skinnier than my twin sister or even my mother. Blame it on the pregnancy sometimes works.
But the way I see it, I have a family who loves food more than loving a nice curvy body shape. Oh yes, we love to be skinny, but everytime we smell something good, or when we have cravings (which we ALWAYS HAVE) we forget all about wanting a nice skinny body. No wonder we're all huge, and getting fatter everyday. SIGH!

Anywhere I can buy flowers at 12.31 am?

Finally, it's a Sunday.

Tomorrow, we've got a mission to accomplish. That is to pay a visit to hub's parents and grandparents grave. Well, the Chinese All Souls Day was on the 4th, but since hubs relative wants it to be a family gathering plus a grave visit, they decided to do it tomorrow when everyone is free.

Dang, I totally forgot to buy some flowers. Guess I'll be going empty handed this year. Gosh, this is going to be embarrassing.

Got to wake up at 6am tomorrow. That leaves me very little time to steal some sleep. I've got another post to do. Good night for now.

Two years ago on chinese new year

I was browsing through some old photos and came across this one. This was taken 2 years back, on Chinese New Year. A bunch of cousins enjoy drawing each other's face in a game. It was so funny. They sure had fun. I wasn't in the photo because I got a newborn to attend to, that's Shern.

Here's the boys with their silly pose. cute huh?

boy, get yourself a break, can?

it's never nice hearing that someone you love is not feeling very well isn't it? my brother, who's studying in perth is not sick, he's just too tired of his student life, juggling time between two odd jobs as a full time student. sigh. we were on instant messaging when he mentioned that he's kind of depressed. to cut the long story short, it all comes down to money.

he's a very independent boy and he never asked for money back home. he's the kind of person who would rather go for Student Loan Consolidation than to call home for instant cash. so we always thought he can manage it himself. but hearing that he's overworked himself just to pay his bills, all this is just too much to bear. aha, Student Loan Consolidation suddenly sounds like a good idea too, if he likes my suggestion.

waking up at 5.30am in the morning to work at Mcdonald's morning shift, serving mc eggs and hash brown when the rest of the world is still sleeping, i'm not sure i'm up to that challenge. well, those days when i was a student, i used to work too. that was because there isn't such a thing as Private Student Loans, else i know i rather not work. .

we sisters back home were telling him to quit one of his job, and get a life. go out and enjoy what a student should be enjoying. living a stress free student life, but what did he said? going out to social needs money. just to let you know brother, we're here if you need our help. anytime.
