Suddenly, just like that, I'm a big fan of grey! Oh, see how gorgeous these rooms are. The color grey and white is just so soothing to the eyes. Looking at it, I'm starting to hate my green walls. I don't know whether this is the pregnancy talking, what people call it nesting, but I sure feel like I could do with some nice changes around the house to make way for the baby.

You know, repaint the walls (at least I don't go for pink which I'm sure the hubs would forbid), do with some nice new furnitures around the house or simply chucking out old stuffs. But I'm sure I'm going to include a lot of grey tones in my upcoming home projects. Watch out!

Japanese Garden with Koi fish pond

My brother came up to me with an amazing plan he has in mind. He wants to turn out current dirty and ugly fish pond into a Japanese Garden with a Koi fish pond. I have nothing against his big plans if he is planning to work on the project all by himself from scratch, and he has to make sure he completes it. Every single task from getting the supplies from Gardener's supply to trips to Target for tools and equipments. French renaissance finest bed

We have been co-sleeping with our little baby since he was born so we ended up getting two super single beds put together. Man, our bed is huge.

But there's a huge flaw. You see, I'm the one who sleep in between my husband and my baby, and the gap in between the bed wasn't the most comfortable place to sleep, and i often wake up to a very bad back ache.

Now that our baby is old enough to sleep on his own, we thought it's time to get us a real bed. I would love a huge bed so it must be a king size. I'm looking at a collection of French Beds as I love the luxurious and classic wood frame that spells elegance. Oh boy, time4sleep has such a huge collection not forgetting very reasonable price too. Every single piece is just as unique as the next one.

Suburbs, not just for desperate housewives

This is not a desperate housewife scenario. Big beautiful houses with a beautiful front yard maintained by the most handsome teenage boy in the neighbourhood. Everyone drives a posh car, miles and miles away from the bustling city. People sitting in front of their porch sipping english tea in the evening and kids car pool to school. Who wouldn't love that life?

In reality, more and more people are moving out of the city to the suburbs for a better improve quality of life, seeing that houses in the city are too expensive. People would rather trade a long commuter ride to work every single day in exchange for a bigger but cheaper mansion. Honestly, as for me, I won't even give a thought about moving into the suburbs where the air is cleaner. It will be a better place to live, especially for those family with kids.

Like it or not, based on a statistic given, every minute you travel away from the city, your house price is 1,000 dollar. The further you are away from the city, the cheaper your house is likely to be and not forgetting cheaper Mortgages. Love this idea of moving to the suburbs and be one of my neighbour at Wisteria lane?

it's good to sometimes dream big isn't it? people who has a dream will tend to work harder to achieve their dream, and living it big in reality. my hubs is the sort of man who loves to spend his money on buying nice cars, dream about having a , while i'm more towards the kind of person who long to design my own bungalow house Plans and make it my home.

whatever our indifferences is, i'm sure when the right time comes, we'll settle for a house that is realistic. it sure will not involve us getting into a big fight on whether to settle for a Log Home Plans or a Ranch house plans for where we live, houses normally have contemporary designs, a combination of the modern touch that comes in a variety of designs.

but now, we cannot afford to build our own house yet, unless one morning i wake up to the joy of striking the jackpot, maybe then our dream home will become a reality. as for now, i think we'll be stuck where we are for sometime. but i don't mind it at all, this place is already my home, not just a roof and walls that provides us shelter.

a good thing can last a lifetime

good thing is not cheap, cheap thing is no good. my mother must have told me that a thousand times, she can tell me that another thousand times, but still i cannot refrain myself from buying cheap stuff. you know how dirt cheap some made in china stuffs are. ashtray, fruit peeler, food cover, plastic plate and all for 1 dollar. two weeks later, rust began to appear on my tea strainer, fruit peeler broke into half, food cover's handle came off.

i should have expected it anyway, after all those advise from mom. serve me right yeah. little by little, i became more aware of the things i purchase. though some things might be a little pricey, i'd like to think that it will last me a very long time. especially for dining ware like spoons, fork and knives, also lemon squeezer and tea strainer, where things often get wet, i prefer to go for stainless steel made ones. it is also because rust can cause serious health damage, so better to buy safe than to be sorry.

i think i might be the next big thing

sometimes, i think i can be one damn good interior designer you know. aha, this is me self-praise again. pardon me, what was my major in university? business and information technology. i don't know which is worse, me now back to the silly old IT illiterate me or me day-dreaming that i could be far better than i now am if i were to choose to major in designing. wishful thinking.

i know i can be annoying sometimes when i can't help commenting to my shopping buddy about things like a chandeliers in a sport-theme boutique or worse, bathroom light fixtures in a so very elegant posh restaurant. what was the designer thinking? that opposite attracts? give me a break.

what appeals to me as a customer is that i'll take note of the interior of a shop before taking a step into it. nice cozy purple couch with a wooden table under a crystal chandeliar is perfect for a country-look theme boutique, but sure not in a soccer shoe shop. do these designers know a thing about light fixtures i wonder?

having said what i said, it still makes me want to walk straight right into sports shop, grab a ladder and some tools, to get rid of the chandelier. ask the manager if i may bring it back home for my living hall. now, please excuse me.

why are there lizards in my mailbox?

everytime i hear the postman or see the postman drop the mail off at the mailbox, i'll get my maid to get it instead of getting it myself. why? because i hate the mailbox that comes together with this house. don't get me wrong, but a built in mailbox? one that has lizards residing in there, and flipped every time you stretched your hands in to get your mail. if the next house we're going to purchase has such a lousy mailbox, i'll pass.

why is it so difficult for house developers to provide a classic mailbox? the red box with a tiny door? i'm sure posh houses comes with beautiful Keystone Mailbox, but not where i now live. bleh.fine. i'll pay to get my home a decent pretty looking Gaines Mailboxes, one that will make the postman takes longer to drop the mails, all because he loves my mailbox a little too much. what about that?

i'm born a creative shopaholic

my shopping trip to the mall will never be complete without going to the home and living store. decorating is my passion, i can easily spend an hour in the store browsing through the bowls and plates, rugs and cushions, bed linens and such. now that it's nearing christmas, there are plenty more to shop for. the decoratives items, ornaments, christmas trees, lightings, oh, all too many.

if i'm not out at the mall, i'll window shop on the internet browsing through the catalogue. online store is such a good place to find great buy and some, really exclusive decorative items. take this candelabra, i found it at shopwiki selling for 29.90. dirt cheap right? i love the design very much, this is what i call a timeless piece, it will never goes out of style, no matter how long you have it displayed in your living room.

tupperware, cool thing isn't it? it's quite pricey though, for at the end of the day, it is still plastic. moreover, because it's expensive, would you just chuck it away when it's stained and scratchy? eh, i don't know.

sometimes our indifference can really drives me nut. i'm talking about none other than my beloved hubs. i have a very creative side of me, which i love to explore. i love to reposition my furniture now and then just like an interior designer. i also love to decorate my home with nice frames and beautiful things like martha stewart. i paint the house with color i adore.

my little boy is just like any other boys. he does things every kid grows up doing. pee in the pants, tear his books, scribble on the wall, the sofa, the table and even the bed. even after a warning, i cannot seems to get the message across. "mommy and daddy cannot afford to buy anymore new furniture". boy! how hard can it be?

maybe it's easier to raise a girl. they play with barbies, they love dressing up, play 'doctor and nurse' and be a mother to their baby doll. they don't go around the house terrorizing the living hall with their machine guns and army truck. i love the idea of having a girl. then i'll get to buy her everything pink, from the pink lacy dresses to the decorating a girl bedroom with all thing girly.

today, my toaster gave up on me. i was craving for a piece of toast bread with thick creamy butter. damn. just a piece of bread, but without a toaster, how in the world can i toast a bread? can i possibly burn it on the gas stove? i guess no.
