What I need now

Now that I'm expecting my second baby, I'm kind of worried that Shern will feel neglected in some ways or another when the second baby arrives. You know it will be especially hard on him, given that for the past three years, he has been our center of attention and he has US parents all to himself. I'm just hoping that he'll be ready to take on the role of a big brother when the right time comes, it's a big adjustment and we can't expect him too much from him as of now.

My sister advised me to buy him a new chest of drawers for him and place it in my sister's room. It might just be a new piece of furniture to him, but it is meant to make him feel grown up and independent, so that by the time baby no.2 arrives, he won't feel that mommy and daddy has neglected him anyhow when he sees us spend more time with the newborn. Make sense I guess.
Talking about furniture, I wish my room is bigger than what it is now, so big that I can place a few pieces of living room furniture in it. But no, I cannot fit in even an extra baby cot. Maybe we need to seriously consider renovation, maybe then only my dream of owning those exclusive furniture from Fairmount Designs will turn into reality. Oh how I wish!

I'm getting a Dirt Devil

I'm telling you, sometimes being nice just don't pay off. I'm not saying that it's not good to help, or I that I'm asking for a favor in return. But someone (I'm not telling who, I'm keeping it private) actually asked if I can borrow him my vacuum cleaner about a month back. He sounded so desperate and pity, well it's just a vacuum cleaner after all, so I lend it to him. But when I need to use it today, and I called to ask if he can please return it to me, he can't be bothered to even bring to back to me. I waited one whole day, and still no vacuum cleaner. My poor maid got to brush off those dirt from inside the car with a tiny sweeper. And worst of all, my hubby actually nagged me for not being nice to people who can never appreciate what we did for them. I'm in such a difficult situation now. No vacuum, and phew! I can feel some tension in the air. Help!

Never mind that my vacuum is gone now, I don't care if he sold it off or whatever. I will eventually get him to pay me money to buy a new one. Say the new cordless Dirt Devil AccuCharge Stick Vac, the first ever hi-tech cordless vacuum to earn Energy Star recognition. Yeah, I like.

Why is it that my husband finds it troublesome to drive his car back into the house compound every day he comes home from work? Is it the hassle of not having to drive and reverse the car in and out of the house or is it because both inside and outside the house provides no shades for his cars?

My father on the other hand, upon his visits to our home, will always comment on what a waste it is that we exposed our expensive cars under the hot sun, day and night. Here where we lives, the weather is scouring hot all year long, unless when it rains. So to speak, the hot and humid condition is really taking its toll on the wear and tear of the cars.

We would love to have our own car garage one day. My preferance being the windsor collection, the one with the terracota roof tiles so to match our existing house roof so that it will not make the garage looks isolated.

But when it comes to building Garages, I'm sure my husband will have something in mind. He would love to toy around with his cars, which means a car garage that works like a workshop too. Nevermind, I'll be more than happy to let him have whatever garage he wants. Afterall, a man's garage is like a woman's kitchen.

Bugger off, beg bugs

I have had enough. I've been co-sleeping with bed bugs and red ants, and no matter how often I change my bedsheets, I still get little red itchy bites from these unseen creature. I hate it, and you know why. I can't see it, but i know they're there.

My so ever hardworking maid change my bedsheets every week, flipped the entire bed just to clean it to the max, the duvet goes under the hot sun until it crisped, but oh, that is still not enough.

this is what public pool needs

i hate public pools, especially those with little or no maintenance at all. it makes me want to puke, if i am honest enough to say so. especially when the inside of the pool is dirty. i will stay away from swimming in that yucky pool. i'll never even let my kid get near it. you don't know what's inside.

the great plan for a carport

the initial plan was to build an extension of our home and turn it into a car garage. but we scrapped the plan as the extension was too expensive and it crossed way too much from our budget. hubby suggested we that we look into other alternatives of building a carport garage. perhaps like one of those steel buildings, where they stacked it up like logo pieces. just in case we need to dismantle it at a later time, we could easily do so without incurring too much labour and dismantling cost. we could even do it ourselves. i heard it's a piece of cake for the 'do-it-yourselfer'.

if you did notice, those metal buildings are actually more durable and more cost-effective, given that you could re-use your steels for another project when you decided to tear it down years later. which is why many used it for building industrial factory, aircrafts hangers, agricultural uses and many more.
