Free drug reference on your iPhone

So, I got an iphone, big deal, NO! When I first got my iphone, my dear iphone hacker told me that I should never ever consider pressing the Installer icon, for if I accidently download anything that I shouldn't, then my iphone will turn into ibrick. So silly me, I just do with the 9 icons on my iphone for the first 5 months. To be honest, I thought the world has given too much credit for this phone, when all it does to me is make phone calls, check the weather forecast (like I need this!), and bummer I can't even send MMS.
So when my sister found out from a stranger that she can install a hundred other applications from the Installer, we cannot be more addicted to our phone. There's so much more to this phone than just getting a good day weather. And the good news is Epocrates is working with Apple to develop a downloadable drug guide for iPhone devices, your totally free drug reference in your pocket, forget having to flip through a thousand pages of medical reference before writing a prescription to your patient. For now, all you need to do is to go to m.epcorates.com on your Safari web browser for your very own free drug reference.

Epocrates medical reference software

People normally think that doctors or health care professional are not as tech-geek as they seems to be. I'm not surprise, one of our family friend who is a doctor has been asking my sister to teach him how to use a computer. And can you believe it, he didn't even know such a thing as Instant Messenger? Oh my!

I can imagine it will take a while for him to discover this thing call Epocrates medical reference software, a very simple to use free drug reference for blackberry and also for iphone. It is pocket size, suitable for palms and pocket pc and it gives instant reference to access the information needed to make prescribing decisions, so no more flipping on mega-thick healthcare reference books. No wonder it's now the most widely used medical reference software by healthcare professionals.

Xpander’s Nimbus VoIP Call Center Edition

Many many years back, I had the chance to explore a part of India called Pune. The moment I landed at the Mumbai Airport, everything never fails to gave me a shock. Imagine homeless mother of three plus a newborn sleeping right there in front of the airport. The mother fell asleep breastfeeding while her 9 year old boy was begging for money and her 5 year old daugther rummaged through a bin for a leftover coke. Ew.

Another thing I noticed is that India has so so many STD/IDD Call Center VoIP Phone Systems everywhere. For a country as poor as India, how can its people afford the luxury to own a mobile phone each. So to my humble opinion, owning a VoIP call centre in India is a good way to make money, especially now that setting up a Xpander’s Nimbus VoIP Call Center Edition requires a very low upfront cost. Anyone interested?

iphone ringtone, please

Does anyone know how I can have a song as a ringtone for my iphone? I know it'll cost 99 cents to download a ringtone from itunes but I'm not a big fan of 'paying' for a ringtone. Anyone, please share your tips or tricks in which I can get a song to play as my ringtone.

Please? pretty please.

Your cellphone can do this

4 THINGS YOU NEVER KNEW YOUR CELLPHONE COULD DO...

There are a few things that can be done in times of grave emergencies.

Your mobile phone can actually be a life saver or an emergency tool for survival. Check out the things that you can do with it:

*1* The emergency number worldwide for **Mobile** is 112 .

If you find yourself out of coverage area of your mobile network and there is an emergency, dial 112 and the mobile will search any existing network to establish the emergency number for you,and interestingly this number 112 can be dialed even if the keypad is locked.

**Try it out**

*2* Have you locked your keys in the car? Does you car have remote key?

This may come in handy someday. Good reason to own a cell phone. If you lock your keys in the car and the spare keys are at home, call someone at home on their cell phone from your cell phone. Hold your cell phone about a foot from your car door and have the person at your home press the unlock button, holding it near the mobile phone on their end. Your car will unlock. Saves someone from having to drive your keys to you. Distance is no object. You could be hundreds of miles away and if you can reach someone who has the other "remote" for your car, you can unlock the doors (or the trunk).

*It works fine! We tried it out and it unlocked our car over a cell phone!"*

*3*
Hidden battery power

Imagine your cell battery is very low, you are expecting an important call and you don't have a charger. Nokia instrument comes with a reserve battery. To activate, press the keys *3370# Your cell will restart with this reserve and the instrument will show a 50% increase in battery. This reserve will get charged when you charge your cell next timme.

*4* How to disable a STOLEN mobile phone?

To check your mobile phone's serial number, key in the following digits on your phone:

* # 0 6 #

A 15 digit code will appear on the screen. This number is unique to your handset. Write it down and keep it somewhere safe. when your phone get stolen, you can phone your service provider and give them this code. They will then be able to block your handset so even if the thief changes the SIM card, your phone will be totally useless. You probably won't get your phone back, but at least you know that whoever stole it can't use/sell it either. If everybody does this, there would be no point in people stealing mobile phones.
