Designers VS Gold

I'm sure you know someone who is a bagaholic, I mean a person who is crazy over designer handbags. I'm sure you can associate a bagaholic with someone you know. I have a friend who is exactly like that. Seriously, this is an expensive habit to keep. Every time she sees something new in store that caught her attention, then it will definitely go in her 'to buy' list. By now she might have own dozens of designer bags already, but she keep wanting more. As crazy as it sounds, i think this obsession is actually not very healthy. LOL.

There'll forever be 'new arrival' in store, 'new design' of designer bags every season, how can one buy them all? A good bag can easily last a few years, if not tens of years. Why would she need so many bags? So, she might be rich, that's one reason. But if it's me, then I would really rather invest in gold bullion, and see my money 'grow'. Like it or not, no matter how expensive a designer bag is, it has no second hand value, even if there is, it's very little. Don't you agree, one can even keep the gold for future generation, but with bags, that is so not the case.

Buy buy buy silver..

It's just crazy how much buzz silver bullion is getting on the Internet lately. It seems like every blogger I know has something to say about purchasing silver or gold. Well, everyone knows silver and gold are not cheap, but why is everyone so keen on buying them? How many silver bullion or accessories does one needs in his/ her safe box? Just buying it to let it sitting pretty in the safe? You think so? Then you are so wrong!

In fact, the craze of buying silver is all because silver appreciates tremendously over the past few years and the trend will be likely to continue for many years to come. Do you know that the world demand for silver now exceeds annual production, and has every year since 1990. If you have some money, then maybe you too should start investing in bullion. Yes, now it is indeed sitting pretty in the safe. Imagine the amount of return of investment you are going to make if the value of silver double, triple? What a nice dream come true eh..

Good Investment or new business venture

I seriously need to get down to business, earning a decent amount of money to help support this family. So what do you reckon I should do? Writing reviews is a good but offers are so not consistent and if I really rely on this amount of money to buy food, then we would have starve to death long time ago. I can take blogging as a part time thingy, but definitely not a full time job.

So, I actually thought of venturing into baby and kids clothes line, having my own labels and all, sounds so glamorous, but the thing is I just don't know where to start. Or maybe my problem is that I procrastinate too much. I know I got to take a bold step, so even if I failed, at least I know I'll learn something out of it. If everything else fails, maybe I'll just invest all my money into buying gold bar, the only safe and stable investment because the thing with gold value that it will only appreciates. No risk but then to me, I need something to do I can be satisfy with. Gold investment is a 'comfortable' investment.

Now where do I start, my sister and I, we registered a dot.com, printed our own woven labels, had some ideas on what designs we want, did some samples, and now the thing is where do we find a good and affordable garment factory to help us with our clothes? You know of anyone? Please drop me a line if you do.

Do you save?

I don't know about the rest of the stay-at-home mom, but I'm surely not one that have loads in my savings account. I know of some wives who keep a big portion of what was given to them by their husband. Well, they spend thriftily on the household while the savings in their bank got 'fatter and fatter'. Feeding their savings account instead.
So like I said, I'm not one who save a lot of money, I am the kind of wife and mother who splurge on good food, clothes and nice household items and loves decorating our home, thus NO SAVINGS! Poor thing!

I'd rather use the money to buy silver bullion, better returns, wiser investment. Or maybe use it to splurge on some beautiful silver accessories for my daughter and myself. ::evil laughs::

Keepsake for baby girl

I'm so excited, you know why? Since my gynae will be on leave from the 7-15th September, he's unable to perform the c-section on my scheduled date which is on the 9th of September. So, we rescheduled the operation earlier to the 4th which means there's only another week to go! Honestly, I've been feeling quite heavy lately, and feeling like a log. My movement are restricted, so I'm trying to slow down and minimize my activities. Well, my gynae told me that my amniotic fluid level is a little high above normal range, so that kind of explained the heaviness I'm experiencing right now. So, his advice will be an earlier c-section which I totally agreed on. Given that my thighs, they itches so badly, I'm hoping it'll go away right after the baby is born. Can't take the itchiness anymore.

I'm not the only one excited about the arrival of this new baby girl, hubby, Shern and the rest of my family are really looking forward to this day too. I am thinking maybe I should get both Shern and the baby a gift each, and when the baby is born, I'll tell my son that his baby sister has a i-love-you-brother gift for him and vice versa. Maybe that way, he won't feel threaten anyway with a newborn around. You know how much attention a newborn needs, we didn't want him to feel abondoned in any way.

Baby's grandfather even has a special gift ready for his first grand daughter in the family. I can imagine how much joy this baby will bring into this family. Maybe I should also get a gift for my baby girl. Perhaps a gold bracelet or maybe a rare gold coins for keepsake. What do you think? I personally prefers to buy gold as it is a good investment and the value of good can only increase over time.Especially if you were to buy Monaco Rare Coin, it helps you locate the best, highest-quality rare coins available at best prices, thereby maximizing your rare coin investment dollars. It's sure worth every dollar investing in gold, right?

Monex my BFF!

My aunt was just telling me the other day that for her daughter's wedding, she'll just give her a big ang pow (monetary gift) for her wedding, in which I reply, "you shouldn't". I know it's really not my say, a mom can give whatever to her daughter and of course I have no say. Instead I suggested that my aunt should buy gold accessories for her daughter, be it a gold chain, a bangle or even a pair of diamond studded earring. At least her daughter will have a valuable keepsake from her mother, a keepsake I'm sure she'll treasure many years down the road. Agree?

And guess what, just last week, my sister told me that gold price has increase up to 129 ringgit per gram. In just a mere 2 months, and that was like before the Chinese New Year, the price of gold is still somewhere around a hundred ringgit a gram. If only I knew gold price will increase so quickly, I'll spend my fortune buying gold instead of just cashing it in the bank earning a pitiful interest rate. Gold prices and Monex is now everyone's best friend.

Ya, so I said, If only! Too bad I didn't.

Credit card war

It's just crazy how banks try to lure consumers into signing up for their credit cards. Honestly, applying for a Platinum credit card is all too easy nowadays. Banks are coming up with so many incentives like free gifts for just applying for a credit card. And I must add, a plastic Formula car really failed to attract me into signing up, it's more an attraction to my 2.5 year old son. Boy oh boy.
And the glass or so-called crystal chess set is not that appealing to me either. I don't play chess, and I rather not have glass horse and prince collecting dust on my cabinet. Oh worse, if my son happens to mess around with it and it breaks and hurt him? Very very bad idea, don't you think so?
I just don't get it, these people, can't they not be a little more creative when it comes to giving free gifts? It doesn't really need to be expensive stuff, but I think useful things like a computer mouse or a checkbook holder will do the trick better. Sure enough, I didn't get that plastic Ferrari. But I did get a toiletry bag in lime green. Yucks, but it sure beats getting the chess set.

Big time Inflation

Hubs was telling me this on our way home from dinner this evening. He's really feeling the pinch with the current 40% fuel hike. He normally pumps up $ 50 everytime he's at the gas station, even now that fuel is much more expensive. Meaning, he got to refill his tank basically everyday, and on days that he travels more frequent, it's more than just a trip.
I don't know about others, but right now, I think I can do with a very economical car, one with a very minimal fuel consumption. I'm sure most of the luxury car dealers are having a rough time selling their big expensive cars. Even the government is asking the citizen to go easy on spending their money. But to me, it's not so much a matter of spending, but rather it is to spend wisely. It doesn't matter if you get a second mortgage or borrow from a loan shark, but if you're spending more than your income, anyone will be in trouble no matter how bad or good the inflation is. Or how cheap or expensive the fuel is.

Wanting a credit card so badly

This world is as realistic as it can get. Rich people get credit card sent to their door step even without applying for it, but there are those who have to go through a series of approval from the financial institution to get rejected in the end because of some previous bad debt record.

If you are one such person, I have a good news for you. You can apply for a credit card - bad credit or not, you can make a comparison between a list of bad credit loan to find one that suits your need.

Buy-it-to-let-it

Someone with lots of extra cash should really considered getting buy-to-let properties. This is a scenario where money generates money when you lease out your property. But as Alliance & Leicester Company has predicted, they expect more landlords to seek professional advice regarding the buy-to-let Mortgages.

With the property market price on the rise, putting a property out to let is more profitable than say putting your money in the share market where things can be so unpredictable. Year 2008 sees many property investors making return on investment, and great profit on their lease.

Plastic cards for kids

Would you ever consider getting your school going children a credit card? There's now Credit Cards For Students, specially catered for students that comes with very good terms and condition. In fact, there are many to consider from, very much depending on your need.

It might be a good idea to get one for our kids, just in case of rainy days. Of course, we shouldn't let kids spent money unnecessarily, but in times of emergency, a credit card can be magical. I'm sure you'll agree with me on this. Even we adults can sometimes be strapped cashless, and credit card came in just handy.

As for getting a credit card for our children, i think we should warn them before hand that it has to be put to good use, no unneccesary spending will be tolerate else it shall be deducted from their pocket money.

where's the card, mr postman?

a surprise mail came for my sister the other day. she got a registered mail for a visa and mastercard pin code, a credit card she never registered for. i can imagine the thoughtfulness of the credit cards issuer, who is kind enough to offer my sister their services without her having to apply for the credit cards, 2 months after her car loan got approved, she has a pretty impressive bank statement i assume.

but the thing is, what do you do with two visa and master pin code, when they forgot to send your the plastic credit cards you're suppose to activate with. we're not talking about a virtual credit card here. hey, we need the plastic version. i wonder if they offered my sister their
interest free credit cards they've been promoting a lot recently. oh, i can imagine the letter must be lost somewhere in the post world. that's the shit with our national post service. if they say 3 days, you really can expect your letter to be delivered to your doorstep on day six.

one week has passed, and we're still waiting for the mail to arrive. with the credit cards in it of course.

rent. buy and sell

while other's get their hands on the stock market and currency investment to make the big bucks, i personally think that New York real estate is where the big money is. after all, isn't that how mr. donald ended up so filthy rich? i mean, if you have extra cash in the bank that sits there earning pathetic interest rate, you seriously need a wake up call from me.

though i'm no investment guru, but i sure know one thing. property investment can never go wrong, provided you know where and when the property will bloom. take Florida real estate, the prices of property has increase doubled if not triple fold over the last couple of years, so is the case with Texas real estate.

in the past, i didn't know there are actually those people who can just sit at home but making tonnes of money renting, buying and selling properties. but the picture is clear now, all you need is to get a good real estate agent to monitor your property high and low times, or maybe just to find a good tenant for your penthouse, renting out hot property is part of where the good money comes from.

so, if you got extra cash in the bank, i suppose you know where to make it worth investing.

a job with the best incentive

so many people i know are teachers. they might not earn the biggest pay check but their job sure has a lot of incentive that comes with it. first, they work short working hours, secondly, long holidays. they also get good incentive like health and life insurance coverage for not only themselves but their family member as well. furthermore, buying a home as a teacher they are able to get bank loans are super low interest rate.

i'm thinking if i should apply to be a school teacher. i'll be away for half a day at school,i still have half of the day to spend with my family. with so many good incentives, this is a win win situation.

from rags to riches

how often do you walk into a bank applying for a home loan and got rejected right in your face? or the times when your credit card application got rejected one after another, all this just because you had a previous bad credit record. at times, people do make it from rags to riches. in some cases, they became billionaires like hong kong tycoon, Li Ka Shing. but the thing with financial institution is, they already had your name listed in RED. so tell me why is it called BLACKlist when you're a perfect candidate for bad credit?

so, that's how the poor becomes poorer and the rich becomes billionaire. when no one is willing to help the poorer ones, how on earth do these people get back on their feets? Li Ka Shing himself, a self made billionaire, was a school dropout at the age of 15, worked in a factory before striking it big, thanks to bad credit offers company who took a chance on him, gave him a loan to kick start his business.

so before you take another step into the bank, it's wise to look up for different offers by bad credit companies. make sure to pick one that suits your need best, preferably the one that offers the lowest installment rate so pay back with not be a huge financial burden on you.

trust me, life is miserable with bad credit

if you've never been in deep shit, you'll never know how hard it is when there's no help. worse if it's a financial problem, you'll see how your best friends all turned their backs to you one by one. even relatives find the most ridiculous excuse not to Loan you money. i've seen it all, when my daddy went bankrupt during the 90's. man, it was hard.

back then, there was no such thing as Consolidate Debt Loans, for as far as i'm concern, no one is willing to help a person with a bad credit. moreover, someone who's at the tip of bankruptcy. but now,
not only they offer advise for people close to bankruptcy, but they also provide consolidate debt loans to ease one's monthly financial obligations by offering easy and affordable payback amount in a certain period of time.

Even if you're looking for a Personal Loan to help with the repayment of your credit card debt, student loans, or other financial obligations, it is still possible to get a consolidate debt loan, something which is impossible 10 years ago.

credit card shopping vouchers are all gone

all these while, i've been the most loyal to my credit card. i use it for every single purchases be it shopping or dining, and my credit card repayment are made promptly. am i not a good customer? hello.. i think i am. so when i saw that my credit card accumulated points expired a few days back, i called the bank for a leniency to at least waive my credit card fees, if they're unwilling to let me have my rebates. you know how shopping vouchers come in handy when you're broke.

anyway, not that i wasn't given any notice, sometimes we tend to forgot things. so partly i was to blame too. but at least have the courtesy to entertain my request or give me a feedback. i am certainly not very happy with this credit card i'm having now. i have plenty of credit cards i can apply for, one that gives me good rebates, free annual fees, low interest and very good terms.

i could search online to make comparison between cards and decide which card is the Best Reward Credit Cards in the market. there's a credit card that suits everyone's need, even those with bad credit. oh ya, i said bad credit.
