Too much money..

Lately, my son has this habit of saying this, "if we have too much money until we cannot finish, then we'll buy blah blah blah".Most of the time, by blah blah blah he meant things like a Lamborghini, a superbike or even a toy, things that we parents don't usually want to spend money on, a way of teaching our kids that like rare coins, money do not grow on trees. We parents got to work hard for it and we should not spend money unnecessarily.

So today, I asked him where are we going to get that much money, so much to a point we cannot finish spending it, his reply was a quick one. "I'll go to work together with daddy, then we'll earn a lot alot of money, then we save a lot of money to buy so many sports car.". Wow, mature thinking for a 3 years and 7 months old boy. Well, what can a father and his little son do to get that much of money I wonder? But never mind, as long as he knows he got to work for money, it's a good sign. But whatever that he wants to be, he also knows he got to study hard, then only he'll get to be what he wants to be. Be it a rally driver, a pilot, a policeman or even a car salesman, I guess all I can do is be a supportive mom. A supportive mom who will get a lot a lot of money from her darling son. LOL!

I'm turning into my mom

Yada yada. As much as one dislike it, they will eventually turn into their mom. Trust me on this. I think I'll starting to sound like my mom. In fact, I became one when I least expected it. Even now, when my 2 and a half years old son did something that displeased me, I tend to remind him how much his bad behaviour upsets me, and how he should never ever behave like that again. I remember I used to hate it so much when my mom go all naggy on me. Yes! I can't help it! I'm just like her now.

Sick little boy

Teary eyes, runny nose. That's my little boy now. His eyes is so teary and wet, the tears just roll down his cheek like it's the most natural thing in the world. Yeah, talk about gravity eh. I don't blame it on the ice-creams or the cold drink he had, because he had them so very often, I don't think that can suddenly become the culprit. Well, just blame it on the bad weather, can?
Ok boy, we need some flu medication for you. Great, another trip to Guardian Pharmacy. If we go there any often, people might start thinking we're homeless.

Outgrown 'em

How time flies, and how kids they grow even faster. When I bought this pair of sandals for Shern, it's too huge, and his feet just keep coming off from the strap in between. But of late, it's getting a little tight. His feet is the really stretching, like every other minute.

Now, mommy need to find another sandal for him. I've seen one I really like from Nike, but 149ringgit is way too pricey. Maybe I should get another one from Old Navy.

Tiny feet: not so tiny anymore

Love these tiny feet of a two year old. I took them the feet when Shern is fast asleep. Even when I took off his socks, he didn't squeak a tiny bit. I guess he was just too tired from his day time drama, fighting and acting with cousin brother Marcus.

Though the photos have really dark background, I love how the sharpness of the feet contrast with the black.

Wears him off before bedtime

"Can you do this, mommy? See i can do somersault. Mommy don't know how to somersault."

This is what he loves to do at bedtime. And the bed is his playground. He can twist and turn, roll and jump, scream and shout, all before he goes to bed. It helps wears him off. Good idea to let your kids go hyper before bedtime.

With my little boy, I have no trouble putting him to bed at 8pm. Maybe this is my biggest trick. :)

My Marc Jacobs, His toy

When i first saw it online, I knew this bag is a must have. So I got my friend to run to the Marc Jacobs store just for me. Then the bag flew back to me on an aeroplane, I was so excited I know I'll be seen carrying it shopping.

But when I finally got it, I was shocked. It didn't look as big on the online store. My little son could fit in there perfectly. He's treating it like a toy. Oh, my Marc Jacobs. How can I carry such a huge bag to go shopping?

It's now sitting on the top of my basket, unused.

Baby Oranges

Over the last few weeks, my little boy must have had over 100 mini tangerines which is only available during the Chinese New Year season. For a two year old boy, peeling a whole orange all by himself is actually quite an achievement.

He loves these 'baby orange' so much that he insist that I buy it every time we're at the supermarket or the night market.
Now that these oranges are off season, how hard is it that I have to deal with a whiny toddler asking for mommy to buy him 'baby oranges'.

Fabulous doughnuts here

In this photo, you're suppose to see one glacier, two Almond flakes and two Oreos doughnuts. No, you can't see it right. My little monster thought he's so clever he decided to 'help' mommy to cut the doughtnuts for sharing. I left him at the table to attend to the newspaper guy and two minutes later, a box of yucky doughnuts came to greet me.

He was so happy he said, " mommy, see i so clever. i help mommy cut cut the doughnuts". Thank you darling but please...no next time alright.

My Estima!

My hubs got to get to work early today. So when our little boy asked if he could tag along with daddy for a morning tea session, daddy explained that he has to leave early and that he has no time for breakfast.
Upon seeing daddy walk out the door, little boy shouted, "daddy what car you driving?". Daddy was already outside the house compound, he couldn't hear.
With the saddest look on his face, little boy said "daddy drive my Estima, never say bye bye to me." I went, "wow, your Estima?" Yes, my Estima not daddy's Estima."

United 81

Isn't this cute? My little boy has a real car sew to his Chinese New Year Club81 jersey like tee. At the back of the t-shirt, it reads UNITED 81. Why the number 81? Because that's granny's house number and the place we gather every year for reunion.

My little one wasn't so keen when he spotted a car on the back of his tee, he insisted that I take it down for him to play. After all that hardwork burning the mid night oil just to sew on that car, I'm not taking it down before parading it first.

One day later, mommy took it down. At least now I have a photo of it to take us down the memory lane.

little heartbreaker

i must really do somethin. my little darlin is gettin more and more attached to the maid nowadays. well, cannot really blame him. the maid has been with us since he was born and has been takin care of him since then. she's pretty much a part of this family, i love her too. she's hardworkin and she has become sort of like our family butler. she can seriously run this house without me.

this afternoon, the maids went to my sister's office for some spring cleanin. when shern and i got home from our afternoon tea, the maid was no where to be seen. after a while, shern started to get all whiny lookin for his maid. how can i call the maid home. what? call her a cab, and get her ass back from the office? no way.

he should be thankful mommy's at home to take care of him. i told him sacrifice goin to work to take care of him. if he doesn't like it this way, mommy will go to work everyday and he can be at home with the maid all day long. he said "OK". my heart shattered.

this little boy is so much like his daddy

i have a 2 years old toddler who happens to inherit his daddy's passion for cars. everything about cars fascinates him, a car workshop, a formula car, a drift car and rally cars. even a toy tool set can keep him entertain for hours, he loves pretending he's part of a racing team. a service crew or a driver like his daddy.

when we were in the toy shop the other day, he got all excited when he saw a Recaro Start booster car seat in red. he said that is his daddy's rally car seat, i must say it looks familiar. he never likes the idea of being strapped to a baby car seat, so it's a surprise he wants me to get him a Recaro priced at $349.90.

it's been like this since he was very little, he's never into power rangers, superman, swords or guns like other kids. he only wants me to buy his toy cars of all sort. i won't be surprise if in the near future, he wants daddy to buy him a go-cart so he can go track racing. he is just like his daddy, only a little more handsome.

converse! for my little one

the last time my great u.s buddy came home to malaysia, he bought my little boy a pair of combat color converse shoes. it was cool. but his feet seems to grow overnight every night, he wore that shoe maybe less than 5 times. it's still as good as a brand new. what a waste.

my buddy will be comin back here again, i might want to ask her get these blue Converse® All Star® applique hi-tops for my little boy, probably 2-3 size bigger. that way, he can wears it for a longer period of time.

mommy, i 'pillow fight' with you...

this is the one man that never failed to put a smile on my face. see how he's tryin to 'pillow-fight' with mommy.

you see, he knows no worries, he only knows that candy is tastier than chocolate, and cube cheese is nicer than slice cheese. just this evenin, almost nearin bedtime, he insisted on followin to the nearby shoppin complex for dinner with my mom and sister, so mommy give in.

::just don't tell daddy ok::

then, bang. he fell and got a huge bump on his forehead. a dinner and bump after, he's all happy to be home and off to bed he went. he can be sure tonight he'll be gettin a good night kiss from daddy.

my little boy and kiddy rides

what i love about my little boy in a kiddy ride is that he doesn't fuss over a stationery ride. he loves sittin in there, turnin the steerin right and left, make his own sound effect. boooom..boom...
if we ever insert a coin and suddenly the kiddy ride moves, he'll jump out right to my chest and hug me. what in the world is so freaky about a movin ride?

daddy once told me he freaks out over things that is not secured on the ground and that it moves, like a roller blade or a cable car hangin in the air. now, we know why.
