Kid's freedom

Call me 'old-schooled' parent or whatever you like, whatever that suits you, whatever that makes you happy but I'm all out against kids playing games. To me, it distracts their mind. Once you let the game pollutes their mind, their concentration towards studying will decrease, as their mind will be filled with the games nonsense.

My 5 years old son might probably be hating me behind my back. He doesn't get all the privilege of having gadgets like PSP, Nintendo, laptop like his cousins. He thinks that I'm the bad mom, he thinks that he's the unlucky one, I know he secretly wishes that his mom is someone else and not me. He's always asking me, "why they can and he can't?"

To me, letting kids own these gadgets means giving them the freedom to play, even without parental supervision. I think it's very unhealthy once they are addicted to it. Honestly speaking, adults too can get addicted to games, what more about kids. Imagine a 5 years old addicted to playing age of war, or even boxhead 2, to a point their studies are neglected! I hate to see my son ended up like that. On the other hand, I will consider letting him to start blogging like I do. At least I get to read whatever that he blogs about, in the process he can learn more about the Internet, html coding, or even start blogging for money. As a blogger myself, I think getting paid to write review is easy and I can do it whenever I want.

Never too old to learn

Without a computer, you're basically nowhere. And worse still, without Internet connection, you're just like a man stuck on an island, alone and miserable. I cannot imagine how my life will be without Internet. I'm online most of the time, blogging or just surfing the web for all kinds of reasons.

My mom, after seeing that we, her children are all so computer literate, she is now so tempted to get her hands on a laptop and she is very eager to learn how to use the computer so that she can go online too. Really, teaching her about computer will take a very long time as she's computer illiterate. But I'm sure with her determination, she will be an expert in no time. Maybe when she learnt how to use a computer, she might even want to get an online degree from Capella University.

Her interest has always been in the field of culinary. I'm sure Capella University will have a suitable graduate degree program for her since Capella is specially catered to providing online graduate school for working adults. Who know, my mom might one day be the world famous chef. Don't be surprise then.

Time to trade stock option maybe

It's been two days since I launched Bucketload, and I got a few enquiries on some of the items especially on the kid's sleepwear but up to date, there's no confirmation on orders. That's a little dissappointing. But nevermind, it's only been what 48 hours since opening, and there's still plenty of time for the blogshop to gain exposure from the online market.

But waiting for orders to come in is not so fun. Meanwhile, maybe I should get my hands on the stock options trading, make some money trading stock, so that I will earn more money to stock up more merchandise for my blogshop. What do you say? Hubby is really tempted to trade stock too, as a few of his friends are doing so well and earning big bucks by just clicking on the Internet from the comfort of their home. Maybe it's time we do the same.I'm sure that with PowerOptions®, we will only gain and not lose money. It's the only internet-based data provider that gives investors SmartSearchXL®, a patented decision support technology that identifies the highest return option trades, so it cannot be wrong!

Come Join Dockers Contest

240x180

Growing up, I didn't get the chance to buy nice decent clothings, I always get hands-me-down from both my elder sister. So you can imagine how much I envied my friend's
Dockers pant. They looked just perfect on my friends, and I thought I must get a pair one day. I did but just one pair. How nice would it be if I get a chance to win lots and lots of Dockers so I can put on a different pair everyday. ::wishful thinking::

Now everyone can stand a chance to win a Dockers contest by submitting your own style of Dockers TV Commercial, you never know what they are looking for. I love the Dress Up commercial by Bwslocombe where the wife cannot resist her husband's pair of Dockers nevermind that it's a male pants. In the end, the husband ended up in his wife's dress. LOL. Too ute. Go see it for yourself at
http://www.nbc.com/Dockers, there's dozens more to see. So, if you think you have a talent in shooting your own video, then give Dockers contest a try. I'd love to see you win. Oh, did I mentioned that if you won, you stand a chance to appear in NBC and "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno". How cool would that be? It might even kick start your talent as a movie producer.

I want a new HDD

It's almost 2 weeks now, and my personal computer is not fixed yet. I sent it over to the pc guy 2 weeks ago, and I haven't heard from him ever since. It didn't help that he was and still is very busy with his Microsoft seminars, or he totally forgotten about my pc under his bed. Well, I think so. I cannot find a better explanation when hubby asked what took the pc guy so long to get it fixed? Some minor problems with the Hard Disk Drive and problem with Internet connection. If it's such a hassle to get it repaired, then maybe I should call to get him to change to a new HDD, since Hard Disk Drive are so cheap nowadays.
It's even cheaper if he were to get the
Discount Drives straight from the computer parts dealer. Those days, it cost thousands to buy a personal computer, but nowadays with a budget of a thousand ringgit, you can actually get a very good and high performance pc. Enough said, I'll call him first thing tomorrow morning. I'm so sick of waiting.

Data protection Solution

This is me blogging from my new personal computer. The old one was getting a little slow in processing and such, so trading it for a new one makes me one happy mommy today. Eh, there's a few issues I need to deal with right now, there's no Java inside, which is what the pc tells me everytime I want to download something. Arrgh. What Java?

And also, I reckon I need a good and reliable data protection solution, true real time CDP (continuous Data Protection), automated content synchronization, and secure remote archive is just what I needed right now to give me a peace of mind. No one wants a crashed pc because when that happens, nothing can be rescued. Tell you it's too late. I rather play it safe than to be sorry. I quite like the Online Data Protection offers I saw, and I might consider getting one soon.

Old folks on computers

It's really a surprise to know that many old folks are taking the initiative to learn how to use a computer. Some even take up computer classes just to be able to keep up with knowing to operate a computer, and to pick up basic skills along the way.

While majority illiterate-computer old folks learned to email and build a social network, some purely use it as an entertainment tool like playing games and
online casino. What else can surprise me now? Even a 70 year old granny know how what a online casino bluebook is.

And my mom has been asking us to get her an internet connection in her house, so that she can learn how to use a computer. Knowing my mom so well, I know she cannot wait to get her itchy fingers on the computer after seeing my aunt play online casino slot machine the other day. All my aunt mentioned was it is fun fun fun.

That shall come out from your pay

I think I got the most brilliant idea. I shall deduct the maids salary if they were to make phone calls back to their home. After two years, what made me not so generous so suddenly? Because I found out that they've been secretly making phone calls to their friends. So logically, if they can afford paying to call some other nonsense friends they have, they should be able to afford calling home to their family.
For the past two years, I've been buying them IDD calling cards every other month to call home, other times I let them call using the cheap and affordable VoIP Phone Systems. You'll be surprised that VoIP calls are very clear and there's no lagging at all.

So with me deducting off an amount of their salary for prepaid cards, I have to worry less of them taking our money without permission to reload their phone credit. I think that's the only deal I can tolerate, with maids with phone.

She's so into it

I was having a conversation with my mother on where she should place the computer in her house, so that she can monitor my 12 year old brother internet activities easily. She mentioned how she love to have the computer in the room, which I was against because I think that it would be easier for parents to keep an eye on their kids with the computer in the living room.

Anyway, my mom, she surprised me when she mentioned that she wants to get a laptop! For someone who doesn't know how to use a computer, she really gave me a shock just like my aunt. My aunt, who is also a computer illiterate, got a laptop as a valentines gift from her husband.

The reason she wants a laptop is to keep her occupied during the daytime when her husband goes to work. She loves playing
online casino, her all time favourite past time. She even mentioned to my mom how interesting the casino games are, no wonder my mom now dreams of having her own laptop. A laptop just to play jackpot slot machine on vegas casino, can you believe it? Oh yes, believe it.

Toner cartridges is making me broke

I've had enough of my almost new Inkjet photo printer. I bought this months ago after a salesman talked me into buying it. This was supposed to be the best available color printer in the market but yet it didn't live up to its name. I should have done my own printer research before buying this unit. How I wish I can trade it for another better one. Too late.

What's the use of getting a photo printer if it the printing quality is bad, not to mention the toner cartridge is almost impossible to find because the printer is too rare and also it is very expensive. I paid 200 dollars just for another set of ink. For your information, my printer only prints document and not photos. I cannot imagine how much ink I'll have to buy if I were to specialize the printer for photo printing.

Good news though, I found a place I can buy affordable and compatible alternatives printer cartridges and it does the job just as good.

where there is no internet

you know even with this thing call wireless internet, you cannot possibly have access internet every single place you go. places like a fisherman's village, or when you're on a cruise where internet connection cost a bomb.

what if you're going to a place such as Myammar where about 90% of the internet content are banned by their government? you are on a business trip and you really need to show your client how your company operates online and there, your webpage cannot be loaded. worse if you are suppose to do an online presentation.

suddenly, you feel the whole world collapse in front of you. does it not defeat the purpose of you travelling hours on the plane and ended up in disappointment? it doesn't have to be like that. with 3 simple click, you can now perform an entire website download. by entire, i mean all images, sounds & video just as how it should be loaded on the internet.

this tool is fast becoming important to corporate organisation who didn't want to risk losing up a business deal all because of a lousy internet connection.
check out http://www.web-site-downloader.com/ for more features on what website downloader can do for you.

file recovery as easy as ABC

ever caught in a situation where you accidentally deleted a very important file in your computer? what makes it worse is when that file contains months of effort of hard work and endless hours on the computer. i couldn't possibly describe my anger my frustration when i lost my final year dissertation 3 days before it was due submission.

i cannot recall what i did wrong when all of a sudden, my file got lost in the thin air. well, it must have been the evil work of the computer virus. for the next three days, i has sleepless night trying to re-do the entire dissertation. imagine squeezing a 10,000 words report i took almost half a year to complete in just 3 days. thank God, i passed though the result was quite disappointing. a lost file almost cost me my honours degree.

if only there's such a thing like file recovery back then. i would have passed the dissertation with flying colors. if you're ever caught in a situation like mine, remember that you can now recover your deleted files at
http://www.file-saver.com/ as easy as ABC.

like it or not, PR is still the king

every blogger i know is very unhappy with the recent page rank change to their blogs. in the world wide web, a page rank is all so important. the higher one's rank is, the better the ranking in their search return. and not forgetting, the good money that comes with it. to sum it all up, page rank is still the king of the internet. the smaller the digit, the better it is.

while most people gets busy exchanging links and comments, all in the name for a good page rank, some worked in different ways to boost their sites. for instance, generate revenues through affiliates programs like those available on most blogs such as casino affiliate programs and shopping buys. affiliates is not just about a flashing banner, it's a money making tool if you know how to.

some bloggers i know can have as many as 5 blogs, hoping that one fine day, these blogs will rise from the dead and claim the throne, and money will come rolling in their way. wish you luck.

IP is not just a number

sometimes it's scary to know that who is out there reading your blog, secretly placing all the tiny bits and pieces of information together like a jigsaw puzzle. and then one day, out of the clear blue sky, they appear at your doorstep, and deliver you the most amazing bouquet of roses. oh, a secret admirer that is.

but i prefer to think that all my reader will enjoy reading my blogs without any bad intention that is. i do make it a priority not to expose too much personal information on this www, for safety reasons. but what happen if a little information like the IP address became the main culprit? through one's IP address, one can track down the my personal detail and launch an attack to my computer. i hate to think about the consequences.

time to hide your hide IP address with http://www.hide-my-ip-address.com/ . it helps you re-route all your internet traffic through at least 2 ultra fast and safe server. no one will be able to track you in any ways. blog and surf anonymously, safe and sound.

the best thing on the www is no longer email

dearest uncle came to our home today, he asked if i ever feel bored when the kids go to school, hubs and my eldest sister go to work, and i'm stranded home with two maids? i know i'll feel bored when my little boy starts his play school but for now i'm loving every second of his company. i told uncle i couldn't possibly be bored. i have my best friend, the computer and the internet.

my uncle has no idea internet has so much to offer these days. forget the time when email is the best thing that can happen on the www, now almost everything can be done online. internet gaming like online casino like Bret-casinos.com has a lot to offer for first timer who doesn't know a thing about online betting. it provides you with the best listing of reputable online casino with the best features for every kind of betting. roulette, blackjack or whatever there is you want to bet. you can even check out which online casino offers best payouts.

then there are blogs, maybe millions of them to read from, or write your own blog. believe me, before i have a blog, my world was dimly lit, and barely noticeable. but now, i have lots of amazing blogging friends to keep me going. we're here for each other on this www, always will.

my mobile charges hits the roof!

i'm 780 ringgit poorer today. you know why? i paid my mobile phone bill today after i got a text message saying my calls will be barred in 24 hours. that's the thing about not getting my bill in the post, i opted for the e-statement on the internet so to save 5 ringgit a month. but the thing is i never check my bill online either.

surprise, surprise, the last payment was 3 months ago. i cannot believe i made so many calls in 3 months, at an average of 260 ringgit a month. that doesn't include the other mobile i have. it must be the time when i was in Perth, i called home to check on hubs many many times a day. remember he was sick with pneumonia? Long Distance Phone Rates cost an arm and a leg, more over i was on roaming rates too. should have use the Internet Phone Service instead, it's much affordable, given that you make calls with your prepaid credits so you will never go overboard like me.

But nothing beats the VoiP phone system that gives excellent quality of transmission and very cheap. with the Unlimited Long Distance Calling Plan, call anywhere in the world and chat as long as you like, for the credit never runs out. how cool eh. too bad, i'm still 780 ringgit poorer today. sigh.

when our broadband is not even broad

i know.. i know.

everyone is getting very sick over our local broadband provider and endless amount of complaints still doesn't make things any better. especially for bloggers for those who's trying to make some money writing reviews like me, time and broadband speed is very crucial. you know how you missed many opportunities just because your broadband is so lame and it takes forever to load a page. when finally when it did, all you read is "all post has been taken". what a bummer , eh?

how i wish we have BT broadband here. Just imagine for the same price that we're paying here, all BT users get 8GB monthly download allowance, 5GB FREE secure online storage with BT Digital Vault, free cheap phone calls, free subscription to tv on demand by BT vision and most importantly a fast, reliable connection, up to 8Mb download speeds.

what do we get here is plain shit. it's not even up to the par with BT
cheap broadband of only 8pound 95p per month. now, how i wish our brandband is half as decent as BT broadband. at least when they promised 24/7 customer support, they meant round the clock.

what is behind a blog?

what does it take to build a website that attracts people? more specifically, a blog that makes people want to read you all the time. of course, a blog with interesting blog content people loves to read about. but the most important factor is still a website that looks presentable and attractive. a blog with too many fluorescent color bling blings here and there is a huge turn off, for me at least.
it's very important to know how to build a website that leaves an impression on your new reader. simple and neat can never go wrong.

if you're planning to start a website, it's good to know that the first three main things you need to get is a domain name, a good web design and most importantly a reliable and secure web hosting like such offered in http://www.webhostingchoice.com. once you're site is online, all you need to do is to upload your site with your desired content. sounds easy, but if you're not familiar with XHTML and CSS-P like me, it takes a while to get it up and running. so my advise is, get help from web host.
